Opening of offers for design and construction of the railway section Sofia – Elin Pelin

On 26 February 2016, at NRIC Headquarters were opened the tender offers submitted for selection of Contractor for Design and construction of modernization of the railway section Sofia - Elin Pelin, part of the project "Modernization of the railway line Sofia - Plovdiv: railway  sections Sofia - Elin Pelin and Elin Pelin - Septemvri ".

The following Companies submitted offers:

6. Consortium "STRABAG JP Sofia - Elin Pelin"

The modernization of the railway section Sofia - Elin Pelin falls within the scope of the project "Modernization of the railway line Sofia – Plovdiv: railway sections Sofia - Elin Pelin and Elin Pelin - Septemvri", which is part of the direction Sofia - Plovdiv - Burgas.

The railway line Sofia-Plovdiv is one of the most important railway connections in the country with significant regional, economic and strategic importance linking the largest industrial centre - Sofia with Plovdiv, Burgas, Stara Zagora and the entire southeastern part of Bulgaria.

 The implementation of the above project is financed under Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).
